Children, teaching staff, stewards and volunteers made their way up Stryd y Dyffryn as local residents and businesses came out to greet them and join in the celebrations of our national patron saint, Dewi Sant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d859ba27e0215f2407f5f164635c9a01\">Leading the procession and ensuring the safety of all involved was North Wales Police. Two special young constables \u2018Heddlu Bach\u2019 from Ysgol Pendref supported the officers this year, <strong>Ojiugo<\/strong>,9 and<strong> Leon<\/strong>, 10. Both pupils from Denbigh were given an insight into the work of the police in Dinbych during the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1a4480d74b8a080e3cfd9ab65a3e0723\">On Sgw\u00e2r y Goron, all 14 schools that had attended the event were warmly welcomed by radio presenter, <strong>Owain Ll\u0177r<\/strong> and his DJ decks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.misirddinbych.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/481902993_1324505322167307_2101646474703784460_n-1024x576.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.misirddinbych.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/481902993_1324505322167307_2101646474703784460_n-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4906\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.misirddinbych.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/481902993_1324505322167307_2101646474703784460_n-980x551.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.misirddinbych.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/481902993_1324505322167307_2101646474703784460_n-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-adbb1acd3c1c7097b7f023ab9d5d617d\">Photo: Year 7 pupils from <strong>Ysgol Glan Clwyd <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2cdca3cc605182bc94bb5f51e12bea22\"><strong>Ruth Williams<\/strong>, from Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych said: \u201cIt was great to welcome the pupils and staff of Tremeirchion, Bro Cinmeirch, Cefn Meiriadog, Pendref, y Parc, Pant Pastynog, Henllan, Frongoch, Twm o&#8217;r Nant, Plas Brondyffryn and Glan Clwyd schools together with Coleg Myddelton back to us this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-465ba9f1d7325a87e021f15b65da3cc7\">&#8220;Joining us for their first experience were pupils from Ysgol Trefnant and Ysgol Santes Ffraid \/ St Brigids (pictured below). We are fortunate to have an active team at Menter Iaith who give children, young people and adults the opportunity to show pride in their Welshness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9c2b74928a783198c1a582dd8b666450\">&#8220;Giving pupils the platform to come together and celebrate St David&#8217;s Day within their community gives status to the occasion and reminds us all of the importance of giving children and young people the opportunity to use the Welsh language here in Denbigh.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-993420fedf992c1f3f4be0d9b6bfe460\">Ruth Williams said: &#8220;We are so dependent on the support of the community, and having individuals who support us as volunteers and stewards, is at the core of our activities. I am nearly certain that we have the largest ever number of volunteers and police officers working with us this year, so thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-58809f1f8217425dd3d17db4001b60c0\">&#8220;We are grateful to all the pupils and staff of the schools for their liaising and for their attendance.
