{"id":3769,"date":"2023-03-01T17:07:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T17:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.misirddinbych.cymru\/tref-dinbych-yn-rhoi-dathliadau-dydd-gwyl-ddewi-ar-y-map\/"},"modified":"2025-12-17T15:24:26","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T15:24:26","slug":"tref-dinbych-yn-rhoi-dathliadau-dydd-gwyl-ddewi-ar-y-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.misirddinbych.cymru\/en\/tref-dinbych-yn-rhoi-dathliadau-dydd-gwyl-ddewi-ar-y-map\/","title":{"rendered":"Denbigh puts Dydd G\u0175yl Ddewi celebrations on the map"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dinbych gave a celebratory feel to Dydd G\u0175yl Ddewi celebrations on Wednesday 1 of March, as over 500 youngsters marched up Vale Street in procession, led by Band Cambria\u2019s upbeat sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event, arranged in partnership between Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych, Gr\u0175p Cynefin, Denbigh Town Council and Urdd Gobaith Cymru with support from North Wales Police brought school children from primary and secondary schools in Denbigh and the surrounding area together to celebrate Wales\u2019 national patron saint, St Davids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading the way from Lidl car park up Vale Street with the towns folk and businesses gathered to support and enjoy the celebrations, Denbigh High School\u2019s year 7 pupils joined the procession for the first time this year. The support from the schools and their staff members to the celebration is to be congratulated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMarking Dydd G\u0175yl Ddewi is one of the highlights of our calendar year, and we are proud to give youngsters the opportunity to identify with their heritage, language and culture. The team involved in organising and our partners thoroughly enjoyed the procession and we are grateful to everyone for their support.
